L-182 MSIAC IM Technology GAPS Workshop – Output from the Working Group on Gun Propulsion Technology

MSIAC has organized a workshop to facilitate discussions on how to reduce the sensitivity of munitions (packed and unpacked) to fragment (F), shaped charge (SC) and explosively formed projectile (EFP) aggressions. Discussions during the workshop included both existing munitions in operations and IM technologies to be applied or developed for new/upgraded or proposed munitions in development. Several working groups will be created to address these topics. The working group on munitions in operations will in particular focus on issues encountered to reduce the munitions response to the three selected aggressions on current operations, identify related mitigation shortfalls based on credible aggression scenarios, and offer potential remediation options.
