Frédéric Peugeot (Warhead Technology) , Leslie Nyogeri (DOSG, UK) , Dr Pierre-François Péron (Warhead Technology)

The objective of this document is to provide background and detailed information about sympathetic reaction phenomenology, relevant analytical models, parameters and key issues required to predict the (sympathetic) reaction of a warhead subjected to the detonation of a neighbor donor one.

In a first part, phenomenology associated with sympathetic reaction is discussed. In a second part, equations enabling the donor stimulus to be characterized are reported. In a third part, analytical models enabling to predict the detonation or not or the acceptor are reviewed.
