This document is a preparatory review for the NIMIC specialists' meeting on " The hazard analysis methods in the civilian sector to aid threat hazard assessments for munitions" to be held on 23 August 1996 in Las Vegas, NV, back-to-back with the 27th DDESB seminar. It comprises:

several definitions proposed for threat hazard assessment in the munitions field

  • the description of the background of the meeting
  • the objectives and the detailed agenda of the meeting
  • a short and non comprehensive review of threat hazard assessment in other fields than munitions, including titles, sources, authors, dates and abstracts of the relevant papers selected
  • the distribution list of a "commercial announcement" of the meeting
  • the list of participants, as of 12 August 1996.

The proceedings, conclusions and recommendations of this meeting will be issued by the end of 1996.
