MSIAC General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

As you may be aware, after 25 May 2018 there will be some changes in the way we are allowed to contact you as a result of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation applicable to EU citizens*). MSIAC takes your privacy very seriously and we want to ensure we remain compliant while you continue to receive information you have come to expect from us. So that we can keep you up to date via email following GDPR, we need you to confirm your consent. Your consent will allow us to continue sending you information that we feel may be of interest to you. This may include newsletters, publication information, invitations to events, and other information.

For individuals from MSIAC member nations who are authorised to access to the secure website (MSIAC Portal/Web Apps) you should be aware that your contact details are required for continued access. We share your contact details with your relevant MSIAC National Focal Point Officer to obtain an initial authorisation and then to ensure that you have a continued need to access the information on the site.

If you are happy to continue to receive information from MSIAC, and have access to the secure website you do not need to do anything.

However, if you wish us to remove your point of contact information from our database we will do so immediately. This will stop future emails and, for those authorised, will remove secure website access with immediate effect.

If you would like to stop receiving information please send an e-mail to  MSIAC by clicking on this link.

Note: Information kept in our database includes your point of contact details, whether you have access to the secure website and software tools, MSIAC related meetings that you have contributed to, and MSIAC reports requested (when specifically requested by paper/e-mail). You are free to ask for a copy of all information related to you at any time.

* For more details on GDPR please see https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en  . Although this does not apply to citizens from non EU nations, MSIAC will assume this as best practice in dealing with all personal data.
